素人搶當明星的熱潮持續發燒，伊林娛樂舉辦的第二屆「璀璨之星」吸引超過2千人報名參加，當中青少年參賽者比例大為增加。看到不少爸媽陪著小孩現身，評審陳婉若直呼時代已經改變，王麗雅則說：「感覺看到很多未來的希望。」
2013《Eelin Star伊林璀璨之星》初賽海選昨天（21日）登場，參賽者除了台灣各地，還有遠從日本、巴西、紐西蘭、美國、泰國等地的混血兒與華僑。其中搶到頭香的是一對台中姊弟，兩人凌晨三點半就至現場排隊，伊林娛樂總經理陳婉若得知後很感動，「璀璨之星要找的就是對這個行業有熱誠的人。」

有別於去年，今年14、15歲的少男少女參賽者比例暴增，還有許多混血兒，甚至包含退伍女憲兵、護理師、演員、跨性別者，競爭相當激烈。眾多參賽者中不乏「特殊才藝」，有女參賽者現場表演「按摩」，還有男選手的才藝是「Body」，只見他脫去上衣用胸肌向大家打招呼。
評審王麗雅笑稱原本很擔心會坐不住，「沒想到看了表演後覺得看到很多未來的希望，一點都不覺得辛苦。」她表示最在意選手的眼神。陳婉若強調本屆主打的是全星發展，她說：「不只是選模特兒，要選出對演藝工作有熱誠、有潛力與未來性的人。」預計從中選出30名男生與60名女生晉級複賽。
