隨著汽笛轟鳴，2月4日0時30分廣鐵春運首趟客車——3806次列車滿載2000多名旅客從廣州東站緩緩開出，駛向重慶，正式拉開了廣鐵春運的大幕。

根據新華網報導，2015年春運期間，廣鐵集團預計發送旅客4100萬人次，同比增加457萬人次。今(2015)年春運，廣鐵管內10條高鐵線路發送旅客將達2211萬人次，首次承擔廣鐵春運5成以上運量。
