Fed多數委員拒絕於短期內升息

根據聯準會(Fed)於周三公布的1月會議記錄顯示，有更多Fed官員傾向維持利率於零水平「更長一段時間」。這顯示多數委員並不急於升息。

根據MarketWatch分析報導，1月27至28日的Fed會議記錄顯示，許多官員說，過早升息將會創傷經濟復甦，僅幾位官員認為，太晚採取行動，恐有高通貨膨脹風險。

BMO資本公司分析師葛地瑞(Sal Guatieri)說：「會議記錄讓近來Fed官員的半鷹派談話，增添了鴿派氣氛。不少決策官員仍希望，在利率開始正常化之前，先確保經濟成長依舊強勁，通貨膨脹能重返至2%的目標。」

Fed會議記錄並未說明17位貨幣政策委員中，有多少位支持某種立場，僅使用「幾位」，「許多」，或「某些」等不明用辭。但會議記錄明確表示，僅一位資深委員認為Fed下一步行動，應是放寬貨幣政策，因通貨膨脹偏低。

根據會議記錄指出，在長期低利率之後，Fed官員的確對初次升息，有過冗長討論，也研究了利率歷史。
