統一獅鄧志偉在總冠軍賽首戰，就夯出一發右外野3分砲、生涯總冠軍賽第2發全壘打，「很開心啊！但開心不是因為敲全壘打，球隊贏球才是！」
今年是鄧志偉第2次打總冠軍賽，他直言：「去年總冠軍賽首戰太亢奮，反而打不好，之後那幾場有比較冷靜，今年的話調整沒有什麼不同。」
去年鄧志偉同樣也是揮出3分砲，幫助獅子軍拿下唯一一勝，「其實個人成績不是很重要，因為總冠軍戰就像短期盃賽，棒球又是團體運動，所以團隊成績比重要。」
鄧志偉在前3個打席都沒有安打演出，首打席敲游擊飛球遭接殺，5局小白球飛到右外野全壘打牆前，仍舊沒有飛出去，「那次打擊節奏有點慢，打出去的時候就知道不會飛出去。」
第3次打擊則是因為換上林英傑投球，好不容易找到的節奏亂掉，沒能成功敲安，「馬克很讓人頭痛，他的球很精準，我無法完全揮擊，原本以為上來是馬克，結果換成林英傑，節奏又亂掉。」
直到7局下，這回面對許文錚，鄧志偉拋開前幾次打擊的想法，終於擊出安打，而且還是一發奠定勝基的3分砲，事實上，鄧志偉賽前在受訪時，開玩笑地說：「總冠軍賽的全壘打，會比我的鼻毛還多。」
