美國新聞周刊將採用付費牆

美聯社報導，專營付費牆（paywall）的斯洛伐克集團「鋼琴媒體」（Piano Media）5日宣布，去年買下美國新聞周刊（Newsweek）的數位媒體「國際財經日報」（IBT）看上自家的付費牆，未來將與新聞周刊合作，推出設置限制閱讀篇數的付費牆。此外，IBT評估網路版新聞周刊的受歡迎度後，決定於7日重新推出紙本版，距離紙本版停刊不到一年。

紐約時報2011年設置限制閱讀篇數的付費牆（paywall），非訂戶每月只能免費看10篇，但有辦法的讀者鑽牆、翻牆，將閱讀篇數歸零，繼續無限閱讀，由於有太多漏洞可趁，付費牆變成付費籬（payfence），後來才逐漸改善。
