打過阿富汗戰爭的32歲英國退伍傘兵伍德，去年從尼羅河最長的支流源頭 (在盧安達一處森林裡)開步，經過六個非洲國家，途中經歷戰爭、熱死人的炎熱、河馬攻擊，以及一位旅伴喪生，用十個月的時間走到地中海邊，創下走完全球最長河流尼羅河全程4250哩 (6800公里)的紀錄。英國電視「第四頻道」(Channel 4)將在英國4日晚上描出紀錄片。
