台北市長柯文哲上任首日未101前抗議團體遭毆一事，指責信義分局長李德威在有遭毆情事就撤換，引起李德威女兒在臉書表達對柯文哲不滿。李德威8日晚間傳出已向台北市警察局提出退休申請，並獲市警局長黃昇勇批准。

媒體並傳出李德威在台北市消防局任職主任秘書的妻子楊炳芬也共同退休。
