總統馬英九今（14）日在國民黨19全開場致詞時表示，批評民進黨是當前台灣民主最大危機，對此，民進黨主席蔡英文指出，如果馬總統自己不能夠檢討反省，而總是把所有責任都放在反對黨身上的話，這是一個不負責任的總統。

蔡英文傍晚由高雄市長陳菊、立法委員陳其邁、李昆澤、林岱樺、邱志偉、管碧玲與前內政部長余政憲、高雄市黨部主委陳啟昱及地方黨公職陪同下，出席余登發紀念音樂會。

蔡英文說，他沒有辦法做一個嚴肅的自我檢討，尤其執政這幾年對台灣做了什麼樣的傷害，尤其對台灣的憲政體制，還有整個國家的機器的運行，其實總統在這幾年的任期裡面，他對國家的傷害其實是蠻大的。

蔡英文表示，如果馬總統自己不能夠檢討反省，而且把所有責任都放在反對黨的身上的話，這是一個不負責任的總統，他要記住他是現任的總統，國民黨在國會有多數席次；如果他是得民心的總統的話，他就不會面臨到他現在這麼大的困境。

蔡英文強調，重點在於這個總統有沒有體察民意，有沒有讓民心感到有一個總統在做事，讓人民感到安心，在野黨就是盡監督制衡責任，總統必須要自己做一個好好的反省。
